Hi! My name is Roderick and I am a Dutchman with a profound passion for African wildlife. From a young age, Africa has held a special place in my heart, captivating me with its untamed beauty and rich biodiversity.

Photography has the power to restore the connection between people and the natural world. It is my hope that by sharing these intimate moments, I can contribute to raising awareness and fostering a deeper appreciation for wildlife and its habitats.

If you would like to bring the magnificence of wildlife into your own space, my images can be purchased as Fine Art Prints. By owning a Fine Art Print, you not only acquire a beautiful piece of artwork but also support my ongoing efforts in wildlife conservation.

Join me on a visual journey through my images, where you can experience the beauty and serenity of the natural world. Wishing you a captivating journey through my lens.

“When I immerse myself in nature, time slows down, and I become fully present in the moment. My senses awaken, my troubles fade away and in this stillness, my photographs come to life, embodying the essence of the moment, before it fades into eternity.”

“I never knew of a morning when I woke up in Africa and was not happy..”

— Ernest Hemingway

Tigres island, Angola

In 2019 I had the privilege to stay 4 nights on the deserted island of Tigres, off the coast of Angola. The peninsula was once home to a thriving fishing community but was cut off from the mainland by a huge storm back in 1962. The town has been abandoned ever since and the island has now completely been taken over by thousands of seals and hundreds of thousands cormorants.
