My Story
From a young age, Africa has held a special place in my heart, captivating me with its untamed beauty and rich biodiversity.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but when my father moved to Angola in the 1990’s, I got the first taste of Africa with all its splendor and its challenges. It made a deep impression on me as a child. A seed was planted in my soul that would germinate through my teenage years and spring to life after graduation.
In the decade that followed, I explored 11 countries in Africa for both business and pleasure. It is during this time, that my passion for wildlife photography was fueled.
In 2019, the pull of the bush became so strong that my partner Corinde and I decided to purchase a Toyota Landcruiser and travel Southern Africa for 6 months straight. Needless to say this was the best decision of our lives and the journey was epic. The trip culminated in South Luangwa National Park, where I dropped on one knee and got engaged on the riverbank of the Luangwa river. Good things happen when you’re in an environment that brings out the best version of yourself.

Through my photographs, I aim to inspire and educate about the importance of conservation and the need to protect our planet's precious biodiversity. Photography has the power to restore the connection between people and the natural world. It is my hope that by sharing these intimate moments, I can contribute to raising awareness and fostering a deeper appreciation for wildlife and its habitats.
